OUR THERAPISTS
Sherry Durkin, BSN, LMT, CI, NCBTMB brings a wealth of experience to her work. She is an R.N. with a B.S.N. in nursing. She is a nationally certified massage therapist (Mt. Nittany Institute of Natural Health), Cranio-Sacral Therapist (Upledger Institute) and C.A.R.E (Center for Aromatherapy Research and Education) practitioner (trained in the use of Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils). Sherry practices
as well as teaches classes in: Raindrop Technique, VitaFlex, and Healing Oils of the Bible Classes and is also certified as a Hand, Ear, and Foot Reflexologist.

Leesa Folk, CMT completed her training at Mt. Nittany Institute of Natural Health in 2010. Her specialty is in Deep Tissue Massage which relieves chronic muscle pain and fatigue. She is trained in Swedish, Shiatsu, Sports and Neuromuscular massages, as well as Polarity and Foot Reflexology.

Sue Lembeck-Edens wears many hats. She is a massage therapist, Zero Balancing and Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner, anatomy, professional development and stress reduction instructor at the Mt. Nittany Institute for 13 years, and now teaches Pilates, StrongWomen and continuing education in the State College area.
She graduated from Penn State University and earned a masters degree in Dance/Movement Therapy from Goucher College. Sue studied massage therapy at the Baltimore School of Massage and became a nationally certified massage therapist in 1996. She went on to train in Zero Balancing and JinShinJyutsu.

Cecilia Mills has 15 years experience as an accupressurist and massage therapist. She specializes in relaxing and rejuvenating massages for pain relief. The form of acupressure she uses, Amma utilizes traditional Chinese acupuncture points and applies thumb, finger and palm pressure to these points or tsubos s, She graduated from the University of Kansas and the Amma Institute in San Francisco and practiced massage in northern California and Kansas before moving to State College.

Anne McConnon is a massage therapist who enjoys integrating Cranio-Sacral therapy and Reiki in her sessions. She studied massage therapy at the Mount Nittany Institute of Natural Health, and pursued graduate studies at Glasgow University, Scotland and at Penn State. Anne is very interested in aromatherapy, Chinese medicine, acupressure and acupuncture as well. She practices Kung-Fu Hsing-I, Tai Chi, and Qi Gong for relaxation and health.

BODYWORK MODALITIES
- Amma Acupressure utilizes traditional Chinese acupuncture points and applies thumb, finger and palm pressure to these points. Amma incorporates stretching and passive movement to enhance efficient energy flow through body tissues and nervous system, creating relaxation and vitality. Clients remain fully clothed while lying on a massage table for each 45 minute treatment.
- Cranio-Sacral Therapy is a technique that tunes in to the craniosacral rhythm, an energy flow between the spine and skull. This therapy treats mental stress, migraines, TMJ, neck and back pain, chronic pain conditions, like fibromyalgia, autism, and much more.
- Deep Fascial Release (DFR) is the manipulation of soft tissue to relax contracted muscles, increase lymph and venous drainage, increase circulation, stimulate stretching of muscle and related fascia (connective tissue), and help rebalance alignment.
- Jin Shin Jyutsu is a non-invasive form of acupressure used to harmonize the flow or energy throughout the body thereby reducing stress and restoring vitality. Clients remain fully clothed while lying on a massage table for each session.
- Neuro Muscular Therapy (NMT) relieves local pain with referred sensations (trigger points) with applied pressure.
- Raindrop Therapy is a light touch therapy focusing on the spinal muscles using essential oils to relieve stress, reduce inflammation, improve circulation, prevent bacterial and viral causes of spinal misalignments, reduce pain, improve immune function, and facilitate the release of pent-up negative emotions.
- Reflexology is massage for the feet, hands, and ears to relieve tension, improve circulation, and promote the healthy function of related organs, glands, and body parts via reflex points.
- Energy Work includes various forms of light to no-touch applications used to help rebalance the body’s energy fields, promote health and healing, prevent disease an illness, stimulate energy, and relax the body. This is great for fibromyalgia and is a clothed technique.
- Shiatsu is ‘finger pressure’ massage used to relax contracted muscles, increase lymph and venous drainage, increase circulation, stimulate stretching of muscle and related fascia (connective tissue), and help rebalance alignment.
- Swedish Massage is a mild to deep, head to toe massage that promotes all-over relaxation, improved circulation, reduction of pain and water retention, and increased range of motion.
- Vitaflex is a Tibetan form of reflexology done on numerous body acupressure points. It stimulates nerve endings to jumpstart sluggish or blocked energy fields and body functions. It aids digestion, helps mental alertness, improves circulation, opens lymph and respiratory systems, clears the auditory canal, and rebalances the spinal column.
- Zero Balancing (ZB) is a hands-on system of therapy designed to balance body energy flow in the major joints, thus creating ease or space within the body and a deep sense of relaxation. Clients remain fully clothed while lying on a massage table for each session.
