Detoxification

Dump the Junk

Detoxification is an important part of health. A formal detox program which supports the major organs of detoxification, the kidneys and liver, can reduce fatigue, chronic pain, inflammation, and a host of common complaints and improve energy, skin, sleep and many other problem areas.

Toxins may come from external or internal sources. External sources can be pollutants in the home or at work, pesticides in food and water or in the environment.  Internal sources can come from improper digestion and unbalanced gut ecology which release toxic compounds as a result of their metabolic by-products.

Toxic overload can set the stage for the onset of more serious conditions such as autoimmune diseases, arthritis, autism, and neurological disorders, to name a few.

Detoxification is a necessary first step for effective weigh, as a toxic liver cannot burn fat.

Although detoxification is an ongoing process that should be supported year round through diet and lifestyle choices, a more formal detoxification protocol is recommended every spring and fall.

Some positive effects of detoxification:

  • Digestive problems Bad breath
  • Fatigue
  • Irritability
  • Headaches
  • Constipation
  • Skin rashes
  • Itchy skin
  • Poor concentration
  • Joint pain
  • Weight Loss Resistance

Our Detoxification Program

We offer a 4 week group Detox Program, generally in the spring and in the fall. If you would like more information and dates, please sign up for our newsletter or contact the office.

Individual Detoxification programs are available year round.

The program includes:

  • Dietary guidance
  • Detox protocol that includes protein shakes and supplements that are designed to pull toxins out of the tissues. These delicious shakes replace two meals each day.
  • Weekly (4) ionizing footbaths to help eliminate toxins.
  • Lifestyle coaching to decrease toxic exposure at home and work.
  • Fitness recommendations, such as conscious breathing and exercises that enhance detox.

Easy detoxification tips to start right away:

  • Drink 1 cup hot water with ¼ fresh lemon and 2 pinches of cayenne pepper first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach.
  • Take a warm bath with Epsom salt. No time for a bath? You can rub the salt onto your skin with a warm, wet washcloth before/in the shower.
  • Hydrotherapy in the shower by alternating hot/cold water. This stimulates circulation and your lymphatic system.
